Day 15
There is a time for everything,
And a
season for every activity under the heavens:
A time
to be born and a time to die,
A time
to plant and a time to uproot,
A time
to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
A time
to weep and a time to laugh,
A time
to mourn and a time to dance,
A time
to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
A time
to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
A time
to search and a time to give up
A time
to keep and a time to throw away,
A time
to tear and a time to mend,
A time
to be silent and a time to speak
A time
to love and a time to hate,
A time
for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes
3:1-8 NIVUK
This morning these verses were read to via a meditation that I start my day with, though I have read these verses and heard these words several times in my life, they were very powerful this morning. The ones that hit me hard were there was a time to search and a time to give up, a time to love and a time to hate. Things change in time, people change, we change, I change, doesn’t make us wrong, but all has a season. Doesn’t make the end wrong, or the dance coming out of mourning wrong or the tears that flow more freely now. We change and that is the seasons of life. Once this is accepted peace truly does come. You cannot force someone in the search to give it up or the one who has gave it up to start searching again. It all has a time and purpose if it is lead, orchestrated by the One that loves us most.
